https://youtu.be/U3FnTQUV0_Q In November 2024, the Not Deciding Alone team travelled to Halifax, Nova Scotia to attend the 18th International Congress on Circumpolar Health Conference. At ICCH 18, we shared the work of Not Deciding Alone through a poster presentation and a workshop session. The conference was also important time to connect as a team, reflect on our work together, network with others in health research, and learn about how other teams are challenging Western research norms and contributing to their communities across the Circumpolar regions. We received fantastic feedback from other attendees about our presentation, recognizing our collaborative way of working together, our decision to present in both English and Inuktitut, and the importance of the work we are doing. We want to recognize Meeka, Ida, Kelly, Louisa, Aimo, and Theresa for presenting on behalf of the team. Despite some technological difficulties, we were able to make a video using footage from the conference, which you can check out above.
